The BEACH is Rocking BV!

“We’ve played a ton of festivals, theaters and outdoor venues all across this state- the scene for our set at The Beach was easily the most unique and and fun we’ve had in some time. The view from the stage was so cool: The crowd was great dancing or just listening-the Arkansas river doing it’s thing and boaters surfing down below, the campfire next to the stage, great local beer and seriously the best burger I’ve had the pleasure disassembling with my teeth ever and kids and families everywhere- We’d play the Beach again in a heartbeat!”
-Bill Powers of Honey Don’t and Sweet Sunny South

South Main all started with the dream of Music and Beer on the River… So we decided to make it happen.” So say Jed Selby and fiance Kennley Montrose of The BEACH, a new venue on the river in South Main which has played host to three Saturdays so far of local food, local refreshments and live entertainment. Complete with sand toys, a firepit, a great view of the water, local libations, grass-fed burgers and fish tacos from the Roadrunner Grill, custom crepes from A Simple Twist of Taste, and awesome live music, the Beach is the real deal! Get a feel for the first three weeks in the photo gallery below.

Then be sure to come out and enjoy the remaining 4 Saturdays of action! This Saturday it’s the Celtic Pirate Rock band, ‘Potcheen.’ Starting this week there will be icey-cold Elevation IPA and PBR on tap, plus the Eddyline Crank Yanker IPA and Boater Beer cans. Red and white from Vino Salida return this week, and there’s always shots from Deerhammer Distilling for those looking for a higher-octane option. Then it’s on to Doc & Kit August 11th, the Jazz/Bluegrass of Impromptu August 18th and Salida’s Red Bandana on August 25th.

Also stop by the BEACH Wednesday through Sunday 5pm-9pm for incredible sweet and savory crepes from Kari Montrose’s “A Simple Twist of Taste” crepe stand!

We are in the process of lining up our summer events. However we do not have anything committed for July 19th and 20th. Did you have something in mind?

Thank you for responding. Our RV group is camping at Arrowhead Point in Buena Vista Thurs., Fri., & Sat. (July 18, 19, 20, 2013) and thought The Beach at South Main would be a lot of fun (daytime or evening). Don’t have anything specific in mind, but would love an outdoor concert. If you have something going on, our group would enjoy it. We have 18 adults in our group.
Thank you,
Rosemary

The State Bridge Allstars are playing on July 20th. They are a fantastic bluegrass band from the Vail Valley. Come on down! It will start around 6:00 or 6:30.

Is there any charge? Please tell me about the bands on 8/24/13. We will be camping at Cottonwood Lake and this sounds fun.
